 Paul Simon is a singer, songwriter, and musician who is best known as the co-founder and lead singer of the popular American folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel. He was born in 1941 in Newark, New Jersey, and began his career as a musician in the 1960s. Simon is known for his distinctive voice and guitar style, as well as his songwriting, which often includes complex and poetic lyrics. Some of his most popular songs include "The Sound of Silence," "Mrs. Robinson," "The Boxer," and "Bridge Over Troubled Water." In addition to his work with Simon & Garfunkel, Simon has also released numerous solo albums and has collaborated with a variety of other artists. He has won numerous awards for his music, including 12 Grammy Awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award.
